Adam Carroll was straight on the pace for A1 Team Ireland, as he set the third fastest time at the end of the first days practice at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, Gautang province South Africa.

Adam completed 17 laps of the 2.65 mile circuit and set a best time of 1m31.500s, just 0.684s off the quickest time set by Lebanon’s Daniel Morad.

The team will have plenty to discuss in terms of strategy prior to tomorrow’s qualifying session as the Power Boost ‘joker’ makes a return. This means that Power Boost can be used for one of the four qualifying segments; a move that will be sure to shake up the grid for at least one of Sunday’s races.
