The normal Saturday Practice 3 session got under way at A1GP Kyalami, South Africa, on time at 11:00 (local time).

Within 5 mins the first red flag was waved due to an incident involving Ho Pin Tung in the A1Team.CHN car.

The cars were quickly up to speed with the 1:30.00 barrier being broken by A1Teams NED, LEB, BRA, MON, FRA, POR, AUS and CHN.

After 15 mins A1Teams GBR, GER, INA and MAL had yet to take to the track.

The first to break the 1:29.00 mark was A1Team.MON in 1:28.754 which was immediately beaten by A1Team.POR with a 1:28.618.

It would seem the new A1GP ‘powered by Ferrari’ car, once converted for altitude running, loves the Kyalami circuit.

Times keep tumbling as A1Team.NED get it down to 1:28.128.

Half way through the session and still no sign of A1Teams GBR, INA and MAL.

A1Team.GBR eventually takes to the track with 26 mins left of the session.

A1Teams INA and MAL were no shows during the final practice session prior to Qualifying later today.

The best time was set by A1Team.NED with a 1:28.128
