A1 Team Lebanon is delighted to welcome Cherfane, Tawil and Co.(CTC) as a commercial sponsor of the team that participates in the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. The company is the exclusive distributor for Samsung electronics in Lebanon and will be represented with the Samsung logo on the A1 Team Lebanon car and the team’s clothing. CTC branding will feature on the car’s wing mirrors.

CTC, as suppliers of a range of Samsung products, is a leader in cutting edge technologies and introducing them into Lebanon. With over 100 employees, the company has one of the largest networks that covers all the Lebanese territory.

Eddy Cherfane, Chief Executive Officer of CTC, was pleased to be able to support the national motor racing team, saying, “There are obvious synergies between the high tech world of electronics and motor racing, so we were keen to exploit this for CTC and Samsung. I wanted to have a close association with the Lebanese team, so we have linked with them and look forward to being part of its success.”

Tameem Auchi, Seatholder, A1 Team Lebanon says of the new signing for the team, “Bringing CTC on board is great news for us. We are very keen to build the commercial support from Lebanese companies and work with them to build their profile as well as our own. We believe we offer excellent value with the terrestrial TV coverage of the series, as well as the potential that our driver, Daniel Morad, is showing this season.”

A1 Team Lebanon has competed in each season of the A1GP series since it was introduced in 2005. This season the team scored its first championship points and at the last event in Kyalami, South Africa, they recorded their best ever finish position of sixth place.

The team travels to Portimao, Portugal for the next round of the series, with the sixth event of this season taking place from 10 – 12 April.
