The cars line up for the Feature race with the hint of rain in the air.

The announcement by A1GP that there was a problem with the satellite feed was obviously code for something else — website problem maybe?

More brake problems for A1Team.BRA in Sprint race causing an accident and they are not competing in the Feature race.

Pit stop windows between Lap 8/16 and 26/34.

Robert Doornbos, Netherlands, has stopped on the parade lap after it seems his fire extinguisher went off, onboard electrical fire. Race started as normal.

1st lap leaders IRL, SUI, RSA, POR, USA, NZL, ITA, MAL, MON, MEX.

There are some really tight racing battles right through the field on the opening laps.

The race leader, Ireland, penalised with drive through penalty for jumping the start but the replay is not conclusive.

Following the first pit stops the order is now SUI, POR, ITA, USA, MEX, MON, MAL, IND, GER, IRL.

A1Team.NZL hits the back of South Africa and flies through the air leaving both teams out of the race.

Portugal take the lead at the end of Safety Car period following previous accident.

Oh dear Italy and USA collide side by side and Liuzzi then collects Monaco — 3 more cars out and back to Safety Car.

So Brazil never started, Netherlands never made start line, LEB, NZL, RSA, MON, USA and ITA crash out — just 12 teams left.

Order now is POR, SUI, MEX, MAL, IND, AUS, IRL, GER, FRA, INA in points followed by GBR and CHN.

Green Flag with 20 laps to go.

At the restart Portugal nearly passed the Safety Car and had to back off.

A1Teams IRL and GER passed Australia plus GBR and CHN passed Indonesia at the restart.

Following the second pit stop the order is SUI, IRL, POR, IND, MAL, MEX, AUS, FRA, GBR, CHN, INA, GER.

Ireland get another drive through penalty for overtaking prior to start/finish line on restart after Safety Car. Ireland dispute the facts saying the AUS car slowed forcing IRL to pass him. The stewards have agreed to cancel the drive through and hold a stewards enquiry following the finish of the race.

A1Team.AUS drop out as the team push the car into their garage.

Ireland close up to just 0.4sec behind Switzerland.

A1Team.IND spin off the track into the gravel — this is survival of the fittest.

With never a dull moment throughout the race the final finishing positions are SUI, IRL, POR, MAL, MEX, FRA, GBR, CHN, GER, INA, only finishers but may change following stewards enquiry.

[Update on Irelands first drive through penalty -- it seems the engine stalled after it was started on the grid and had to be restarted but it was after the time for crew to leave the grid so a drive through penalty was issued]
