Northern Ireland’s Adam Carroll has revealed he has held talks with two Formula One teams after some eye-catching drives in the A1GP series.
Ireland’s Carroll is currently two points ahead of defending champion Neel Jani of Switzerland in the battle for the 2009 A1 crown. The next round is at Brand Hatch on 3 May.
“My focus is the A1 but Formula One has always been my dream,” said Carroll.
“We have been talking to a few teams and hopefully we can pull something off.
“I have been close a couple of times and was a test driver for Honda in Formula One.
“Through the A1 I believe I can get my opportunity again.
“The A1 been a hard-fought championship and it is extremely tight at the front.
“We have had the consistency all year long and are leading so we just have to keep it up.
“I believe we will win this.”
