When the original Season 4 Schedule was published the Finale was to be at Brands Hatch, UK, next weekend.

Then the Mexico City round kept being moved until it was announced that it would take place after Brands Hatch and would therefore inherit the Finale slot for the season.

However following the recent outbreak in and around Mexico City….

Mexican authorities have closed schools, museums and theatres, and launched a vaccination campaign.

It is suspected the virus may have been involved in the deaths of about 60 people, mostly in and around Mexico City, since mid-March.

A new swine flu strain has been confirmed in 16 of the deaths and 44 others are being tested, Mexico’s health secretary said. More than 900 other people are thought to have been infected.

Public buildings have been closed across the capital region and people are being urged to avoid shaking hands or sharing crockery.

….it seems to us that it is highly likely that the Round 8 in Mexico City will be cancelled.

We expect to hear an A1GP announcement to this effect over the lead up to Round 7 at Brands Hatch.
