Nitro SuperGP Needs Volunteers

The Nitro SuperGP, October 22-25, will bring together the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and the V8 Supercar Championship Series on the streets of Surfers Paradise, and you could be trackside.

The four day event is now seeking volunteers across a large variety of roles, suitable for all ages and stages of experience, with applications now open via the event website.

Nitro SuperGP Ticketing and Accreditation Manager Jayne Graham said the event provided the perfect opportunity for anyone with an interest in motorsport or volunteering in general to get trackside while contributing to Queensland’s premier motorsport event.

“I am happy to say that applications to join the 2009 Nitro SuperGP Volunteer Team are now open and we have a wide range of positions available,” said Ms Graham.

“There are many benefits to being involved in the team, including official 2009 Nitro SuperGP Shirts and Cap, access to the event for you and a friend, some meals and drinks, free public transport to the event, as well as a participation certificate and an invitation to the exclusive volunteers after party.

“Volunteers will also have the opportunity to win Course Car rides, Helicopter rides and other wonderful prizes, both during and after the event, as well as the chance to be awarded the Volunteer of the Year for 2009.

“Positions, time schedules and requirements vary, so whether you are 16 or 60, a first-time volunteer or a veteran, we are sure to have something to suit you.

“The ‘volunteers’ tab on the www.supergp.com website is the place to go for more information or to access the online application portal – applications close on September 30 2009.”

The 2009 Nitro SuperGP, October 22-25, will be one of the first rounds of the 2009/10 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport and Event 11 of the V8 Supercars Championship Series.

The event is produced through a partnership between the Queensland Government and IMG – tickets for this year’s event are on sale now through Ticketek on 1300 303 103.
