We are constantly searching for snippets of information about anything related to A1GP — teams – races – drivers – the series —
but we can’t see, or find, everything so if you have something you have found, or heard, then we would like you to share it with everyone here.
Because A1GP is a world wide series, covering many different languages, it is very difficult for an English language website like ours to translate, or even understand, some stories that may throw some light on future events, or breaking news.
We need your help with this so just give us the bare facts [in English] with details of your source, and if you have a link to something on the internet, post that as well.
Speculation appears everywhere, and in particular on motorsport forums, but we are looking for facts.
Please don’t post a complete article just a brief description — Thank You!

TT on Campos case for not respecting contracts……..that’s original!!!
Teixeira could demand Campos for not respecting contracts:

Update on TT and CamposF1 from James Allen “Meanwhile word is reaching me that A1 GP boss Tony Teixeira has now agreed a deal to acquire Campos, the money is yet to be handed over, however.”
James Allen on F1
The TT buying CamposF1 story seems to be firming up now with the latest saying he has completed the purchase of the team.

Now the A1GP can be seen on sale in all respects. After several weeks without significant developments, the High Court in London ruled that the trustee of the bankruptcy proceedings A1GP Operations of the company now has total control over assets in the series.
Bramston, in fact, can now put on the market the league and its assets, including 25 cars being used in the 2008/2009 season. It is unclear whether the operation will be based on a simple system of negotiation or auction: in any case to prevail will be the “highest bidder” as explained by the same Bramston.
This does not cut out of the game then the previous owner Tony Teixeira, if the South African magnate had a chance to make a request. Indeed, in some respects may even be the favorite. “Various stakeholders have expressed interest in the past, but we wish there was an appropriate procedure. You can not further comment headlights,” said Bramston.
Last summer the A1GP Operations had entered into a settlement with 162 million dollars in debt, of which 129 in respect of A1GP Holdings subsidiary mother. Was subsequently initiated the receivership, a prelude to a possible sale.
At stake, in addition to the cars and their parts, there are also the commercial rights (such as use of the trademark “A1GP”) is to use the name and technology Ferrari.

A1 Holdings Limited in court to be wound up on the 10th February.
Court decision was made this morning. Administrator has got ownership of all the assets.
It has also been reported now, that part of the deal of buying into Campos is that 13 million pounds will go towards paying off the creditors except Holdings. It appears that Bernie has stepped in and partially blocked the investment proposal. (a strong rumour at this stage). In addition, with Operations in court this week, it is now known that there is at least one firm offer on the table from an overseas consortium. TT has to now come up with cleared funds or he loses everything. A1Productions are also in court being wound up by the TV production company.
[Editor: Thanks for update Showman]
That is correct.
However the recent news that the Assen spot has been allocated to SF has scuppered that if true.
I read in Autosport Magazine yesterday (NOT ON THE WEBSITE) that the result of the upcoming court case between A1GP Operations and A1GP Holdings over the ownership of the cars could decide the future of A1GP. If Holdings wins then it will pave the way for a comeback, with Tony Teixeira planning a one-off event at Assen with a massive prize fund, ahead of a relaunch for a 2010/11 season.
HERE
where is it reported?
It is being reported that “A composite company in Germany is about to start production of A1GP car parts”
You don’t know it is true only that you have read that it is going to happen.
And 3-4 million Euros is nothing much for investing in to an F1 team – it is less than Virgin put into Brawn which was next to nothing at 250,00 per race.
Why on earth people are getting so excited about this is beyond me.
Tony Teixeira buying into Campos F1 is true, in the next few days they will make it official. Teixeira will pay 3 to 4 million to Campos.
It’s not a rumour, but very intesting.
A1GP assen will not happen, Superleague Formula will drive.
The Tony Teixeira buying into CamposF1 story has grown in strength of coverage over the last few days with Autosport now repeating it.
The story is very dubious — it started with “Ricardo Teixeira” buying in and linked to A1GP this then changed to Tony buying in and also “the Brazilian Toni Teixeira” — Teixeira is a very common Portuguese name.
Personaly I don’t give this story much credence.
That is a very dubious rumour about CamposF1 not A1GP
Tony Teixeira will may bay step in by Campos Meta1. What about A1GP?
Thank you Balthasar for the latest Energem update.
If correct it means that the re-financing of A1GP is proceeding to plan as they have to pay the money to A1Holdings who have to pay it to Energem for that to happen.

Ok, no x-mas present. Unless the Three Kings come up with gold, gold and maybe some diamonds, it will be already a bit too late to race in Brazil.
Rebuilding all the cars and shipping them over should take no less than 8 weeks.
OK – Still getting positive news about A1GP!
Sorry I can’t share as I am sworn to secrecy.
Keep the faith :)
Will A1GP be replaced by AGP? They will start in April whit the old version off the A1GP cars the lola V8…..
Still getting positive info but unfortunately nothing I can share as it is confidential – we may yet get a perfect xmas present!
Just to let you all know that I am still getting information that A1GP will be back and maybe with action this season but at least a fresh start for next season – keep the faith.
No it has been around since they expected to get a Singapore race a couple of years ago.
Is this a new site?
http://www.a1gpsingapore.com/
I am getting unconfirmed story coming my way from seperate sources that Alfacam have yesterday issued a winding up order on A1GP Productions.
Kevin Kalkhoven? Why? Hasnt he burned enough cash with ChampCar and Inycar already? :P Is he bringing Paul Gentilozi aliong with him btw? If you thought TT mismanaged a series wait until Paul Gentilozi gets invlolved!!
Heard that Kev Kalkhoven from CART is in London to maybe buy A1
on stop and go.tv they write that A1gp is on sell at the best offer
A1 Team NED will run Team POR by supplying mechanics and engineers. Team POR will decide on the driver (most probably Alvaro Parente) and arrange for sponsorships. Not sure what happened to Filip Albuquerque, last year’s team and how long this solution will have to hold.
At the moment as it stands there has been lots of news, but most teams and personal are reluctant to get on a plane to go to surfers, without payment up front, as most of them have not been paid from season 4. Now it is Wednesday afternoon lots of money to pay lots of people, lots of transactions. But don’t hold your breath.
The Malaysian Insider reports that Malaysia’s A1 team is definitely not coming to Surfers Paradise as they have not been able to find or prep a driver due to not having access to any cars.
[Editor: Thank you for your post but it isn't a rumour as it has been officially announced by the team a copy of which is on this site]
Hi Rina
Good news thanks for the heads-up on that :)
Hi guys,
there’s still chance for A1GP back to Indonesia for S5,
A1GP and Lippo Village still under negotiation about hosting the event, mostly about the cost (yep, it’s money again…).
If the negotiation going well… maybe Lippo Village will held this event around February – April 2010. So, lets keep our fingers crossed very tight for this :)
:) No longer a rumour it has now been cinfirmed – Season 5 is Go!
And still we are getting confirmations that A1GP will be at Surfers for the start of season five!
According to an article on motorsport-total.com – they spoke to TT on the phone – A1GP has more than 2 weeks to pay for the Ferrari engines. This is not a payment for previous season, but a payment for next season, and is written down in the contract between Ferrari and A1GP. Actually, this article states that IMG saved the series!
According to article on autosport.com it seems that there is a possibility that Ferrari have pulled out of A1GP
Not a rumour, but a translation of some news item on LINK
A1 Team Netherlands is in trouble: the tax service will sell the inventory of the team in an auction, although the team has until 28th of September to pay back their debts, according to Jan Lammers.
to Upilli: given the amount of promotional work Emerson Fittipaldi has done during the off season, I doubt it we have lost Brasil.
Teams have been given a racing calendar? Anybody know anything about this?
So, is A1 Team Brasil, being replaced by Argentina? Is the series going back to Beunos Aires or better yet, to Portero de los funes?
We have just been told that A1Team Mexico will be back for S5
A source has told me that South Africa are go for S5 and that the SA round will go ahead.
A rumour gives me pleasure if true – that A1TeamGBR will be in the mix for S5 which could also see the GBR round again but we could see a new venue for it or it could still be at Brands.
Got that one wrong it is Queensland Raceway
There is a rumour that A1GP will be running a pre-season test at Eastern Creek in the week prior to the Nikon SuperGP
Just to add to all the confusion the Malaysian GP is listed as 6th of December 2009 by the FiA but on the Malaysian GP website it is listing it as 22nd November 2009 [tbc]
[edited by admin] This is not a contribution but a comment that doesn’t add to the sum of knowledge.
Update on below:
1 A1Team gone and 1 A1Team in from same continent.
We are lead to believe that extensive work is going on behind the scene that require A1GP to be very quiet.
We understand that there will be no calendar until all outstanding issues with the Liquidator have been solved.
Also we understand that at present there are no new nations, and there are 3-5 nations that are currently set to be dropped.
09/10 calendar?
25 October 2009 Australia Surfers Paradise Street Circuit
15 November 2009 Indonesia Lippo Village Street Circuit
6 December 2009 Malaysia Sepang International Circuit
New Zealand Hampton Downs
28 February 2010 South Africa Kyalami
14 March 2010 Brazil Interlagos
21 March 2010 Mexico Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez
April 2010Portugal Autódromo Internacional do Algarve
16 May 2010 Netherlands TT Circuit Assen
Ireland Dublin
It has come to our attention that Lagos, Nigeria, is claiming to have been awarded a race in 2010.
“We have bidded and have been offered the host city rights of the A1GP, this is a major endorsement of our state and its tourism potentials.”
This will mean that they will be buying an A1Team franchise, assuming that A1GP haven’t changed the rules.
