A1GPgrid Credits
Hi my name is Martin and I am the Owner, Web Designer, Webmaster, Editor and general dog’s body here. I am ‘old school’ and believe in the original concept of the ‘Web’ — the sharing of information without cost — Free!
You will always be able to browse my site without being bombarded with banner adverts or pop up windows — however as my site gets bigger and bigger so do the costs of running it.
So if you like what you see, and wish to help me pay for everything, I have an online shop with almost 6 million products from the leading High Street and Internet companies at ushop-online.com — so if you are planning to buy something why not check out our shop where the prices are the same as you would pay by going direct because they pay us an introduction fee if you buy something.
Also I have an A1GP themed merchandise shop at One Horsepower which uses the theme of One Horsepower but due to Trade Marks does not use either the Ferrari name / logo or A1GP logo — so if you want a good quality affordable T-Shirt, or more, pop on over and check it out.
You don’t have to feel obliged to buy anything from my shops but obviously I would be pleased if you did and helped me pay the growing bills here.
A1GPgrid is exclusively A1GP and therefore I wish to thank the A1 Grand Prix Founder Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum first for his foresight in setting up the series.
In the first 4 years I was helped by A1GP with provision of news updates, images and videos and without their help then this site probably wouldn’t be here today.
All the A1Team PR Officers who constantly keep me up to date with the latest Team News — some are better than others.
The A1GP Fans who regularly send me snippets of information and links to online info — it really helps because I can’t see everything plus I don’t speak, or understand, all the languages of the A1Team Nations.
Finally all of this requires the assistance of others for you to be able to see it and also for me to be able to fill and run it.
Firstly I need a virtual home for the site and this is provided by Hostgator.com and it is a stable home which means 99.9% of the time you can access my site – also all the servers I use at Hostgator are ‘Green’ because they are powered by a real wind farm.
Next I need an address that can be found and GoDaddy.com run my gpgrid.com web address so that you can find us.
When you arrive you want content and this is powered by a free piece of software called Wordpress – this is the engine.
The next piece of the puzzle is content which needs some personal software and the main ones I use are SiteAid a free Text Editor for designing web pages – then the graphics which I create with PaintShopPro and the only software I have paid for.
I hope that all of these contributors have helped me to produce a website that you enjoy using!
